Which layouts players actually open
The bars show the share of Steam players who have entered each house, read from the achievement stats. Most people try Eco and Aero and stop there, so the other four are where your builds will look least like everyone else's.
Frutiger Eco
Green, leafy and bright: grass, plants and glass, the closest to a sunny desktop wallpaper.
The house from the free demo. Since demo update v0.1.0 (June 2026) you can pick the original Eco house or an Eco Two Story version. A demo save of this house carries into the full game.
Frutiger Aero
Glossy whites and sky blues, the classic mid-2000s look the game is named after.
One of the two most visited layouts on Steam so far (48.5% of players have entered it).
Frutiger Aqua
Water tones: turquoise, glass and bubbles.
Entered by about 30% of players. Players building Aqua bedrooms share them on YouTube.
DORFic
Named after DORFic, one of the smaller offshoots the Frutiger fan community catalogues. Check the preview in the house picker before you commit a long build to it.
Its own preset and achievement; 27.3% of players have entered it.
Underwater house
A house under the sea with marine life moving around outside the glass.
Unlocks the oddly spelled fih achievement. One reviewer who started on the aquarium base describes fish swimming past the windows, which matches this layout.
Frutiger Metro
Named after Frutiger Metro, the city-flavoured branch of the aesthetic: glass, skyline and sharper colour.
The least visited of the six so far at 26.3%.
Building from scratch
Since launch you are not tied to the presets. Reviewers describe starting from a blank slate and putting up every wall themselves, and one notes the city scene has no pre-built house on it. Walls, floors and glass sit under the build section; the building tips cover snapping, overlap and curved glass.
Tips before you pick
- The rooms are big. A 15-hour reviewer's one complaint was how huge the premade spaces are. Plan one room at a time.
- Each house has a settings screen. Weather, time of day and sky colour live on the small screen left of the entrance elevator. See the settings panel.
- Saves and sharing. Finished houses can be exported and uploaded to the Steam Workshop.

How many houses are in Frutiger Home?
Six pre-built layouts, each with its own achievement: Eco, Aero, Aqua, DORFic, Underwater and Metro. The Eco layout also has a two-story version, and you can build a house from scratch instead.
Which house is in the demo?
The Eco house (and, since demo update v0.1.0, the Eco Two Story option). Your demo house carries into the full game.
Can I change the walls of a pre-built house?
You can decorate everything inside, but reviewers report the structure of the pre-built houses cannot be edited and the terrain cannot be changed. For full control, build your own from scratch.
Which house should I start with?
Eco if you played the demo, Aero if you want the classic look. Several reviewers say the pre-built spaces are huge, so pick one room and finish it before spreading out.
