Frutiger Home Custom Music & Images: Upload and Share
Importing your own files is the feature reviewers mention most after the aesthetic itself. It arrived in demo update v0.1.0 in June 2026 and is in the full game.
Music: supported files and playlists
The music UI accepts:
| Format | Supported |
|---|---|
| .mp3 | Yes |
| .wav | Yes |
| .m4a | Yes |
Upload the files, then group them into playlists. You can play them two ways:
- Radios you place in the house. Switching one on also unlocks the Vector Musica achievement.
- The global music player, opened from the in-game settings, which plays without a radio.
The trailer song
Asked under the demo trailer what the song was, frutigerdev replied that it is a track they made for the trailer, and that an extended version is in the game.
Images: pictures on objects and surfaces
Reviewers describe importing any image for many objects and textures, and the store page shows screens and frames around the house. Uploads take png or jpg. Players use it for posters, TV screens, wall art and memorial corners.
For the best result on a wide screen, crop the image to the object’s shape first so it does not stretch.
Sharing media in co-op
From the v0.1.0 notes: images and music can be shared between friends. For moderation, each player is first asked whether they want to receive media from that person. You can change who you have given permission to in the settings.
That permission prompt matters. One negative review warns about strangers from the Discord sending wild images and audio, so only accept media from people you know.
Can I play YouTube or video files?
There is a Steam thread asking about stream links and local video files, and one asking about YouTube on a TV object. Neither has a developer answer yet, and the patch notes only mention images and music. Treat video as not supported for now.
