What Frutiger Aero is

Frutiger Aero is the fan name for a design look common from roughly 2004 to 2013: glossy glass, bubbles, water droplets, lush green grass, blue skies, fish, and technology shown as clean and optimistic. Think operating system wallpapers, phone ads and early touchscreens. The name comes from the Frutiger typeface and the Aero interface of that era.

Reviewers describe the game as the vibrant, glossy 2000s design language, a mix of The Sims and that look, and a “future that was promised”.

Gloss over matte. Raise bloom slightly and use reflective surfaces.
Nature indoors. Plants and water features next to tech objects are the core of the look.
